Frequently Asked Question about Las Vegas.
How does tipping work in the USA?
As an integral part of American culture, tipping is an habit in the USA. You will most often find them under the term "Tips" or "Gratuity". But when it is not part of the culture of our country, it can sometimes be confusing not knowing when and what to give. So we are going to give you a few lists of jobs or situations where it is appropriate to tip (not an obligation). Hotels: Groom: $1.00 to $2.00 per luggage carried and a little more if he takes time to show you all the features of your room. Room Maid: $3.00 to $5.00 per day Car Valets: $1.00 to $3.00 Room service: 10-20% of the total fare. Baggage concierge: 15-20% of the total bill. Doorman: $1.00 per bag and $1.00 if he calls a taxi for you Transportation: Taxi Drivers: 15-20% of the total fare. What are the best months to visit Las Vegas?
Without hesitation, we will respond from mid-March to mid-June and from mid-September to mid-November. In summer it gets really hot, so this limits outdoor activities. And in winters, the days are very short, it can be cold and most pools are closed. If you can't come during these ideal times, don't worry, you'll still have a great Vegas vacation no matter when you come.
Where to leave your luggage while waiting for your plane or hotel room?
Most hotels have what is called a “Bell Desk” that is responsible for handling your luggage, including bringing it to your room if you wish. If you haven’t checked in yet or have a long time before you go to the airport, you can ask them to hold your luggage in the meantime. Don’t forget to tip them $2-$3 per bag when you pick it up. If you are not staying at a hotel, there are companies that will hold your luggage for a fee. For example, “LuggageHero” or “Bounce Luggage Storage” have locations on the Strip.
